An inspirational place where an ecosystem of creators find high-impact concrete solutions… welcome to thecamp! It comes as no surprise that AccorHotels figures among its founding partners and plays a decisive role in the joint creation process. A unique partnership, which initiates the first Spark Life Contest.
What is thecamp?
Opening in Aix-en-Provence in October 2017, thecamp is a unique campus dedicated to inspiration, training, innovation and experimentation. Bringing together public partners, sector-leading companies, startups, students and artists from all over the world, the aim of thecamp is to help individuals and organisations to become change-makers!
An inspirational partnership
As a founding partner, AccorHotels, is taking part in the creation of thecamp's educational content. An opportunity for the Group to offer to its employees inspiring trainings in a third place which facilitates disruption, and to maintain its open approach to innovation. thecamp will also provide leverage for urban experimentation and will give access to a unique open-innovation ecosystem (urban planners, researchers, sociologists, etc) who will work together to design the hospitality of tomorrow. AccorHotels will be called upon first and foremost when an experimental project is linked to its activities and notably to pilot some of these projects. The Group could also be a source of proposals to initiate new collaborations with thecamp and its ecosystem.
This commitment has all the more sense in the context of the profound cultural transformation initiated by AccorHotels in a rapidly changing sector. It constitutes a great opportunity for our leaders to share their experiences and gain insights on devising the hospitality of tomorrow and preparing for the expectations of our guests and talents
Are you ready for the 1st challenge?
For the first time, 5 well-known companies, including AccorHotels, are joining forces for a contest open to startups…
The Spark Life Contest began on 27 March with tomorrow's quality of life as its principal theme. The aim is to devise the services of the future and explore the following themes: Health and well-being, Spaces and Environment and Social Interactions.
With the changes in our work, we are trying to improve life for travellers but also for the town dwellers who live near our hotels by offering services and initiatives aimed at making their journey and their daily life better as well as helping them to connect and interact with each other. The Spark Life Contest is totally in keeping with this evolution.
